so, not much to report, once again. i am, indeed, the most boring blogger ever! the semester's nearly over, which is awesome and terrible at the same time: awesome because i'm nearly done with school for a little while, terrible because i have a lot of stuff to do, like write hella long papers that i don't really feel like writing and take tests that frankly scare the bejesus out of me! of course, the end of school also means wedding season is fully and completely upon us.--side bar--evie got her wedding dress in today and tried it on, which i got to see during my lunch break, and it was GORGEOUS!!! it'll be even more gorgeous once she's walking down the aisle though. i can't wait!
only problem in my life right now is in planning bachellorette parties without stepping on anyone's toes or leaving anyone out which is hard since almost all of us live in separate towns and are really busy with our regular lives. luckily the party this weekend hasn't been a bitch to plan...mostly because it's been thrown together sort of at the last minute. see, an old friend of mine who i've recently reconnected with, went and got married last sunday! we had already made plans to have a little "evil angels" reunion this weekend with (most of) our old gang, so the gang decided to turn this into an impromptu, surprise post-bachellorette party for the newly married woman. so other than cleaning my apartment (which i still have a long way to go on) and buying her some sexy negligee and party favors (i'm doing that tomorrow after work) and other supplies for our soiree, her party's been a breeze. the other party i'm planning, not so much. the date's moved more than a go-go dancer (hopefully it'll stay put now) and i've had some difficulty with some people feeling unconnected and left out. really not my intention or complete fault since i didn't have any contact info for most of the other bridesmaids, but now we're trying to make it work without wanting to kill each other. of course, evie's bach party has been a lot simpler for me, since simone's been doing most of the work (really sorry about that btw. wish i would've involved myself more, simone, so it didn't all fall on you!) but she's done a great job and luckily the girls in evie's wedding are pretty copacetic and willing to let simone take the wheel, since it'll be in dallas (where she lives). my only qualm is that i feel bad that she's had to do so much all on her own with hardly any help or input. again, sorry!
but that's about all the diatribe i have in my for right now. i'm looking forward to seeing two of my best friends get married and having fun being a part of it and hoping that nothing goes wrong and nobody starts fighting. whew! all right, i'm gonna do a little more research and then go to bed. i'm beat!
now for a nifty song. i kept wanting to hit repeat at work last night when it filtered through the stereo (but somehow i think the good customers of hastings might have lynched me if i'd tried). so now i'll "say goodnight and go"
Imogen Heap-Goodnight and Go
Say goodnight and go
Woah Woah Woah
Skipping beats, blushing cheeks I am struggling
Daydreaming, bed scenes in the corner cafe
And then i'm left in bits recovering tectonic tremblings
You get me every time
Why d'ya have to be so cute?
It's impossible to ignore you
Must you make me laugh so much?
It's bad enough we get along so well
Say goodnight and go
Follow you home, you've got your headphones on and you're dancing
Got lucky, beautiful shot you taking everything off, watch the curtains wide open
Then you fall in the same routine flicking through the TV relaxed and reclining
And you think your alone...
Ch.2
One of these days, you'll miss your train and come stay with me
We'll have drinks and talk about things, any excuse to stay awake with you
You'll sleep here, i'll sleep there, but then the heating may be down again
at my convenience
we'd be good, we'd be great together
*sigh*
GO!
Ch.3
Say goodnight and go,
why's it always always goodnight and go?
Oh darling not again
Goodnight and go
