again, i don't have a lot to say tonight. i just figure i should put something up for posterity's sake, since the summer's now officially over (when i say "officially" i mean in the sense that school has started again, which in my estimation ends summer now matter what the equinox says). so i've been working (almost) all summer at Avenue and it's...it's okay for the most part. i really, really miss the library, but who wouldn't miss a job where you got to sit around for the most part and only worked four hour shifts at the most? i've been working a whole hell of a lot lately since tiffany quit (good riddance to her!) so tomorrow i'll have a huge paycheck, but my feet are sorta (read really) killing me right now, since i just worked 10.25 hours today, thanks to our new hire quitting this afternoon. luckily i still get the weekend off (though i feel bad for brittany and clara if they have to work 12 hrs on saturday, but not bad enough to stay here). hopefully i'll soon be interviewing with all the myriad of people i have to interview with so that i can get promoted to assistant manager which will mean less work for britt and clara, and about the same for me. and hopefully we'll also get at least one new girl hired by next week, that'll be nice (since she can actually work during the day, meaning i won't always have to!). another update: my first class was on monday night, quickly followed by my second and third classes on tuesday and wednesday night. all three seem interesting, though sadly there are a bevy of dumb and irritating people in all three (though surprisingly not as bad in my wed. night class, which, i suppose, makes up for the complete idiocy of some of my tues. night classmates). other than that, i haven't been up to much. just working, watching buffy nonstop (i'm on the fourth season already, and i just started watching a few weeks ago!), and reading all of my jane austen books that i haven't read before while thinking of ways to adapt them to current times. currently i'm on sense and sensibility, with only emma and northanger abbey to go (technically i've read both before, but it's been a while, and i'm not sure that i finished emma the first time i read it). and that's all i've got for tonight. while it's only 11pm, i'm definitely about to read a few more chapters of S&S and then go to bed. i know, how pathetic. i'm getting so old. g'night!
