"his name is lancelot..."

"he visits France a lot / he likes to dance a lot / and dream." sorry, it's what was in my head this very moment...and it made me giggle. if you don't know what it's from, check out Spamalot. soooooo funny! but anways... so today is the big day: my directorial debut with our presentation of Act IV...abridged of Mrs. Warren's Profession. i'm excited...and a little nervous, too. i hope it all goes well. i think the hardest thing will be getting all my crap for it out of my car, especially the lamp. but i'll do it somehow, even if i have to make two trips up and down three flights of stairs...ugh! don't want to! but have to! me and my stupid, "hey, i've got a great victorian looking lamp. let me bring it for our set." sure and carry the heavy thing across campus court and up three flights of stairs. great idea. anyways, run through last night was great fun, especially when bethany and i got in each others faces and unnerved each other a bit. we're going to be the hit of Dickson's Drama Season, just you wait, the reviews will be lauding us with praise, raining laurels on our heads...that's is, if people don't skip out of the class b/c of fall break. if too many aren't there, i'm going to demand we do it next week so everyone can fully enjoy the cleverness that is us. besides, if i haul a heavy lamp up three flights of stairs, they can damn well come and watch our awesome show. anyways, i can't wait, especially for everyone to see my gorgeous hat. i just have to remember: stay in character during questioning. right. well, there's nothing else i really have to say. i plan to spend the rest of this weekend relaxing at home and possibly working on a renfaire costume of some sort. snootches! "dulcinea"

so last night i definitely fell asleep watching Man of La Mancha. great movie. i drifted off right after "Dulcinea" and I've had the song in my head all day, which is cool, except that it kept morphing into other songs. so, what's up with me you might ask? well, not a lot. sunday was my birthday though we actually started celebrating on friday...which was fun. i met new people, lost after two hands of poker (stupid straight on the flop! i thought i had it in the bag! damn!!), got more than a little snookered, and had one hell of a time...i even got to eat my piece of my birthday cake with my hands...because simone forgot to pass out utensils...and then saw me eating with my hands and was all like "oh, you need a fork," and then subsequently forgot to give me said fork...fun times. then i went to the football game and the band was awesome (only wish the team was as awesome) and on to the musical after that, which was doubly awesome (ben jeffrey, how do you have the ability to make me tear up with just one cutely sad look?) and then on sunday we went to church and then i spent a relaxing afternoon watching my birthday present Kingdom of Heaven (hmm...the yumminess of Orlando Bloom...hmmm...) and then went and hung out at evie's where a friend from out of town came and met us. we were supposed to go see Elizabethtown (hmm...more Orlando Bloom...) but alas we were going to be late and decided to see it another time... :( but other than that it was a really good weekend. this upcoming weekend looks to be fun, too. i'm heading home for fall break (something i have actually never done before) to rest and relax in the boringness that is follett. but blair should be there so we'll hook up and have a raring ol' time...going to see movies and bowling perhaps...yeah, smoking time that. and then next weekend for Halloween we're going to the Renassaince Faire...i think...i hope...that is if i can convince someone to work for me...i should start calling people now...so i'm gonna go, because my shift is done and i have a date with a chicken strip basket and a jazz band down in the sprout.
